Joined the Income Tax Department as Income Tax Inspector in Chennai, as a Direct Recruit.

Promoted as Income Tax Officer in April 2001, and has worked in various units such as Assessment, Investigation, TDS and Tax Recovery

Promoted to the IRS rank as an Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax and worked in handling corporate assessments and Head Quarters functions.
